Live Asset Insurance

We are pleased to announce a revolutionary new insurance product that covers damage to trees, shrubs, vines, flowers and other “live assets” due to-
  • wind
  • freezing
  • hail
  • flooding
  • fire
  • lightning and
  • earthquakes

This unique policy was created especially for nurseries, greenhouses, landscape businesses, golf courses, homeowner associations, resorts, builders and developers and many other specialized industries involving live assets. Unlike crop insurance, the life asset policy insures only the plant, not the fruit, nut, vegetable, berry or spice produced by the live asset.

Natural disasters and changing weather patterns have accelerated the need for this type of policy that also includes:

  • debris removal
  • repair expense reimbursement
  • installation coverage and
  • policy limits unmatched in the industry.

Live Asset Insurance is endorsed by the prestigious American Nursery and Landscape Association (ANLA). ANLA members receive an up-front premium discount of 10%. Enjoy lower financing costs with a 15% initial deposit and 10 equal installments.

Designed for Your Business
The Live Asset Insurance program also offers coverage for containerized crops, Christmas trees, vines, and most excluded plant material listed under the Government Crop Insurance Program. We offer the lowest deductibles in the marketplace, and we allow you to buy coverage any time that works best for your business.

How Much Coverage is Available?
$10,000,000 per policy. Specimen plants can be insured for up to $100,000 per tree and $250 per shrub or vine (larger limits are available on a case by case basis). Field grown, container and greenhouse landscape plant material is eligible to be insured up to $10,000,000 per location for the total at risk amount.

Who Determines the Value of Live Assets?
Issues of value assessment and loss adjustment are done using the leading national plant valuation system in collaboration with trained horticulturists and arborists.

States
Live Asset Insurance is available in the following 18 states: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, NM, NV, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT and VA.

About Live Asset Insurance
Live Asset Insurance is now affiliated with Marshall & Sterling, Inc. which is ranked among the top 25 largest insurance firms in the country.

A revolutionary new insurance product has been created for the nursery, greenhouse and landscape industries.

Natural disasters and changing weather patterns have accelerated the need for a private insurance product that properly insures live assets affected by these dramatic events.

The insurance industry has virtually walked away from protecting live assets. Our policy is comparable to life insurance for your trees, shrubs, vines, and flowers. We include debris removal, repair expense reimbursement, installation coverage, and policy limits unmatched in the industry.

Live Asset Insurance is endorsed by the prestigious American Nursery and Landscape Association (ANLA).

ANLA members receive an upfront premium discount of 10%. Enjoy lower financing costs with a 15% initial deposit and 10 equal installments.
